The deadline is fast approaching for the Ah Haa School for the Arts 4th annual Youth Art Award. The award honors middle school and high school students who exemplify a passion for the arts. Students interested in being a Youth Art Award recipient simply need to submit three pieces of artwork and a completed application to the Ah Haa School by Monday, Nov. 15. Award winners will be announced at the Ah Haa birthday party on Friday, Nov. 19. Recipients receive two free Ah Haa classes, free framing donated by Gallerie Framing and recognition in local newspapers and the Ah Haa schedule. All mediums of art are accepted.

The Ah Haa School is also looking for submissions to the holiday exhibition entitled "Miniatures." Interested artists should submit ideas and drawings for this show by Monday, Nov. 15. Miniature art can be anything 12" x 12" x 12" or smaller, including paintings, sculpture, photographs, pottery, and jewelry. This exhibition is geared toward unique and affordable holiday gifts and will open Thursday Dec. 2.
