Telluride resident Jim Stewart has died, reportedly of a heart attack following a minor accident, on a river-rafting trip with friends in Idaho.

Stewart, who was active in Telluride politics, sat on two boards, Telluride Marketing, Inc., and Telluride Historic Architectural Preservation Committee.
