A Panel Presentation, TonightRIDGWAY – With the 2009-2010 school year set to begin next week, many families may be feeling anticipation and excitement. For many parents and preschoolers, however, this transition can also prompt many questions and concerns.
To help parents and their preschoolers feel prepared and confident on the first day of school, Bright Futures for Early Childhood and Families has organized a panel of experts to share their knowledge and expertise on how to prepare for preschool. The event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 3 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Miss Brandy’s Early Learning Center, at 767 Sherman Street in Ridgway.
Those who attend will learn about: first day of school anxiety and expectations; strategies for motivating the reluctant preschooler; potential challenges and thoughtful solutions; schedules and play time; and making useful preparations before the school year begins.
The event is free, including refreshments, and childcare will be provided.
