MOUNTAIN VILLAGE – The Telluride Adaptive Sports Program kicks off the July 4 weekend with a $1 ice-cream-cone booth Friday afternoon during the Mountain Village free concert with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals Friday, July 3, at TIME?

It’s a housewarming of sorts for the adaptive ski program; TASP staff will be scooping at a table outside their new digs in Capella (directly under Lift 1).

The celebrations continue on Saturday, July 4, at 11 a.m., when a TASP float will be in the Telluride parade, followed by a TASP-hosted a Pie-Eating Contest and Arm-Wrestling Competition starting at 3 p.m. on the back patio of US Bank. Registration is $10 per person, with all proceeds benefiting TASP. Finals for the Arm-Wrestling Competition will take place at 6 p.m. at the Bubble Lounge – with prizes.

The Telluride Adaptive Sports Program is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of people with disabilities by providing educational and recreational opportunities that develop life skills, encourage personal growth, and promote independence.
