NORWOOD – The Colorado State Cooperative Extension is offering a free Seedling Tree and Shrub program, Monday, March 23, 6 p.m. at the Placerville Fire Station. The class will cover natives, plant selection, planting and care.

Craig Grother Retires From Forest Service

After more than 30 years with the U.S. Forest Service, Norwood Ranger District Wildlife Supervisor Craig Grother has retired. The Wright’s Mesa resident will remain in Norwood with his wife, Sheila Grother, who is the Vegetation Control Manager for San Miguel County. A party to celebrate Grother’s retirement takes place Saturday, March 7 at Two Candles at 5 p.m.

Baseball, Softball Equipment Swap

Upgrade that old mitt and bat at this weekend’s Used Baseball/Softball Equipment Swap, Saturday, March 7, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Log Cabin on Lucerne St. Used equipment may be dropped off for the swap today through Friday at All Mountain Motors, 1105 Grand Ave., 8 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information, call 327-4987.

Eat Breakfast With Prime Time

Prime Time Early Learning Center is hosting a Community Breakfast, Saturday, March 21, 7-11 a.m. at the Norwood Community Center. The event is a fundraiser for PTELC’s summer camp programs, as well as a brainstorming session for the program. The event is open to Prime Time parents and the public.
