Keep it happy when posting here please !!
Telluride is resort community whose economy depends on tourists and their dollars - people from all over the world read this newspaper (yes, it's true). Too much negativity, in your comments, simply scares away the tourists, lowers tax revenues, hurts the economy and jobs, and lowers real estate prices. When making comments here, kindly exercise appropriate Internet etiquette. Telluride is the best place, and has the best people - this is the message that should be sent out to the world. So, please be polite and avoid messages that are angry, and do not say anything that you would not want your mother to read; please do not post if you have been drinking, and please do not post a comment if you are a troll, crank, or drive-by commenter; and take care to avoid anything that is not in the true spirit of the Telluride lifestyle, and community togetherness. After all, Telluride is the "best place" with the "best people" so let's all get together and keep it that way !! And remember, people (potential customers) from all over the world are reading your posts. So kindly keep it happy !!

Romey when was the last time you were gainfully employeed? What could you possibly know about work or how workers feel. I know you would be fine if we did not have a ski resort but the rest of us work for a living and have a right to. Perhaps you should donate your trust fund to buy mountain village back and you can do with whatever you would like with it. In the meantime spare us your misunderstandings. No one has marketed Telluride as come for a day and spend a lift time for 15 years. If you are refering to Marketing Telluride Inc. they have a budget just over a million and do a heck of a lot with that money, thier tag line is just don't escape, transcend. Does that not fit Telluride? When was the last time you opened a visitor guide or picked the ski resort's brochure, which is unmacthed in N. America. You are not even living in the same century. As far as revoking telluride from mountain village use, I would argue it has been mountin village and the ski resort that put telluride on the map in the national arena. You may not want the recognition but that is the reality. You should at least get a few facts correct before taking such a grand stage.

It's a very nice thought, but eminent domain ain't gonna happen in BC for a number of reasons ... although it would certainly be interesting to see one government entity (i.e. Town of Telluride) try take land from another government entity (i.e. National Forest Service).

Their service people come from Mexico, and you have to come all the way from Norwood. Yee ha. Love them MV folks. See they don't want some whiny American "providing service" for them (especially a leftist Telluridian). They want someone that will bend over and take it. Get a clue!!

And so it goes, as it always has. Now is the time for forceful, individual action. The powerful will take and take. You can't beat their lawyers. Only one person, acting alone, in a meaningful way can make a difference.
Their paper, like their skin, is thin................
