RIDGWAY – Santa Claus makes his first appearance of the year Saturday, Nov. 21, in Ridgway, at the Ouray County 4-H Event Center, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

This marks the second year that county nonprofit organizations have set up booths for everything from selling goods to raise money to raising awareness about what their organization does to building up memberships in their respective organizations.

Santa Claus will be there all day, to meet and greet and hear all about youngsters’ holiday wishes; Second Chance Animal Humane Society volunteers will take holiday keepsake photos of Santa with your kids and other family members – Santa Paws will be there snapping photos of pets.

Participating nonprofits include the Second Chance Humane Society, Columbine Club, Ouray County Elks, Ouray County 4-H Clubs, Ridgway Railroad Museum, Yankee Boy Conservation Association, Voyager Youth Program, Women’s Club of Ouray, Ouray County Performing Arts Guild OCPAG, Mt. Hayden Rebekah Lodge No. 54, Ouray County Cattlemen’s Association, Ouray County Rodeo Association, Ouray County Republican Party, Ouray County Arts Association, Weehawken Creative Arts, Ouray County Ranch History Museum, Ouray County Public Health Agency, and that’s just a few, as organizations are still signing up.

There is still room for participating nonprofits to sign up.

So c’mon by Saturday, Nov. 21, for your first visit of the season with Santa Claus – and, at the same time, support Ouray County nonprofits.
